Robert De Niro has expressed heartfelt “love and support” for his daughter, Airyn, following her recent coming out as transgender, which she discussed in an interview with Them published on April 29.
During the conversation, Airyn reflected on her childhood as one of De Niro’s seven children, which he shares with ex-wife Grace Hightower.
She described how her upbringing has influenced her journey into embracing her new identity. “There’s a difference between being visible and being seen,” she remarked, adding, “I’ve been visible. I don’t think I’ve been seen yet.”
“I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Airyn as my daughter;” the Hollywood actor stated.
